Eyup John, what happened?
Team 33 report, monday ok but a bit nervous, overawed by it all and not thinking about the sections. Did well though finishing in 75th position.
Tuesday there was a road crash near Spean Bridge so bit of a nightmare to see Ado, did better to move upto 51st I think.
Wednesday got a front puncture and then nipped new tube fitting it but second tube stayed up. Ended day 10 minutes late so 10 marks lost on time.
Thursday really cold and wet , over Rannoch Moor got water in carb and bike wouldn't run so had to take it to bits and lost another 24 marks on time. Bit wet and miserable!!
Friday didn't have time to fettle bike properly and it overheated melting the fuelpipe and then seizing the engine on the road. Thought it was game over until the angel of the north appeared - Ray Crinson - who stripped the bike down whilst I went off to find Jim Austermuhle who had a head gasget and o ring. Problem was that the radiator had packed mud in-between the fins and was not cooling the engine so tried our best to clear it and send him on his way 45 mins. late. He caught up and had his best day with some real good cleans.
Saturday was no drama until Glen Nevis where the sections got a lot harder to sort the big boys out!
All in all a fantastic week where we learnt a lot and will be better prepared for next year. Brilliant team spirit with the East Yorkshire lads most riding round together, all finished except pour Alan Carr who ran out of petrol and time on Thursday. He says he will be back.
Ado finished amazingly in 40th position.

Thank you Roy Jarvis, our roving reporter who has taken over from Sid Rumpo. Roy minds for that cracking little rider from Leavening, Adam Milner. Although not having the best of luck, he fought back well to finish in the top forty. Brilliant.
Renewing your ACU Licence/Registration.

Many of you riders and affiliated members will no doubt have recieved your renewal notices and it will tell you you can renew on line. This is quite true but you must have a unique ACU generated number from me which I can only issue when you have paid your membership for 2012.

D Class & Purple Route entries.

It was decided at the AGM that, in an effort to keep down costs and to encourage young riders to compete, when there is a class for D class riders the entry fee will be £5.
TRIALS LAND

All our Trials are run on very sensitive land in regards to SSSI etc. It is only by the good working relationship we have with the National Parks,Court Leet administrators and Farmers that we are able to run our events. Please respect their land at ALL times by staying on the marked route and not riding on ANY land before or after the events. The future of our events is in your hands
Archive Gallery

Not that I want to dwell on the past, but I thought possibly an archive gallery maybe interesting for those who do not get out much these days. Some of you older riders - and some not so old - if you could email, or pass on old photos of your riding days, with a little info - famous or infamous, we are not particular who we make fun of here.
Thanks
John Watson
